EVERY WORD AND EVERY THOUGHT

The prosperous soul is the basis of the prosperous life. The prosperous soul is a product of correct thinking and speaking The prosperous soul is connected to walking in / practicing the Truth. It is pleasing and joyfull  to the Father when we walk in the truth. Walking in the Truth starts by thinking the TruthJohn 17:17 17 Sanctify them through thy truth: thy word is truth. Let's look at "casting down imaginations". 
How do we cast down an imagination? First of all what is an imagination? Strongs defines it as a; computation, i.e. reasoning .. imagination, or thought It comes from the same word that is translated "reckon" in Rom. 6:11. Vines says of the word imaginations,"The word suggests the contemplation of actions as a result of the verdict of conscience."—Vine's Expository Dictionary of Old and New Testament Words So what are we contemplating? Good or bad? Do our thoughts line up wih the Word or against it? If we are thinking and speaking in line with Gods Word we will be casting down the stronghold of bondage and erecting a stronghold of defense and freedom. Our sheild of faith will be stregthened and the actions we take will put the Word of God in motion in our lives. Casting down imaginations or reasonings that exalt themselves against the knowledge of God is accomplished by taking every thought captive to the obedience of Christ (the Living Word). Obedience invloves not only thinking but speaking and doing the Word of Christ as well Paul tells us on Col. 3:16 to "Let the Word of Christ dwell in you richly". Letting means we have a choice. Dwelling is to take up residence ... or you might say take root. There should be no scarcity of the Word in our hearts, it should be there abundantly. Consider again thoughts and words Thoughts and words are the building blocks of our lives thoughts and words are how we use the substance of faith it is through mediation, the discipline of our thoughts that our desires are shaped and our expectations (confident hopes) are fueled a lack of discipline in our thoughts could account for much of the "random-ness" of our lives up and down lives are a product of up and down thinking ... which produces up and down doing ... which porduces up and down results When one is not paying attention to the seed being sown there is no telling what kind of crop will come up.14 Let the words of my mouth, and the meditation of my heart, be acceptable in thy sight, O Lord, my strength, and my redeemer.Psalms 19:14 (KJV)

 Acceptable thoughts and acceptable words produce an acceptable life.
